What is Lifeline?
The GTA Lifeline Program, supported by the U.S. federal government -offers reduced costs for home phone, wireless, and internet services to qualifying Guam residents with fixed or low income.
Under the Safe Connections Act, GTA helps survivors of abuse and trafficking with discounted Lifeline services, safe plan separation, and a $9.25 monthly emergency benefit for six months.
Eligible customers can receive a monthly discount of up to $9.25, depending on the type of service. Options include:
Toll blocking is an optional feature that restricts long-distance direct-dial calls, preventing additional charges. Enabling it can waive the landline deposit.
Yes, a processing fee of $36.40 is required during sign-up.
Yes, an activation fee of $12.50 will be charged when signing up for an eligible wireless voice or voice & data plan.
Lifeline is limited to one per person, per account. Only one Lifeline discounted service per household.
Annual recertification is required. USAC will send a notification via mail with a recertification form. You must respond within 60 days, using one of the following methods:
Failure to respond will result in de-enrollment.
