We are excited that you have decided to apply for a job with GTA! Here is what you can expect as part of the Hiring Process.
Find your position
Click on Career and then identify opportunities that interest you from the list of available positions on the Career site. Once you find the position best suited to your skills, experience, and desired location click "how to apply" to create a profile and submit your resume.
Once you apply for a job you will receive an email notification confirming receipt of your resume. Next, your qualifications and experience will be reviewed by Human Resources. If you are a possible match for an open position, a Human Resources Representative will contact you to via telephone or email to schedule an introductory call.
If you are selected to move to the next step in the hiring process an introductory/Pre-Screening Interview call will be scheduled. This call will give us an opportunity to learn more about your skills, salary requirements, etc. and provide you with a description of the job requirements.
In between the Introductory/Prescreening Interview and the On-Site Interview, should you be selected to participate in the face to face interview, you will be asked to complete a pre-employment assessment to ensure that your skills, knowledge and abilities are right for the job.
Based on the Introductory/Pre-Screening Interview and your skills, knowledge, abilities, etc. you may be selected to participate in a face to face interview and meet one-on-one with members of the hiring team. We use behavioral-based interviews to learn more about your past experiences. This is also your opportunity to learn more about the position, department and our culture. For certain roles, we may ask you to take part in a second interview.
Congratulations! If you are selected by the Hiring Manager, then a Conditional Offer of Employment will be made to you by Human Resources via telephone and/or email. A pre-employment background screening and drug screening will then be conducted as part of our pre-employment requirements. The background screening is administrated by our vendor, Blueline Services. GTA’s background process screens 10 years back where we verify but is not limited to what is listed below:
- Criminal Court Records - we search in all states/locations that the candidate has lived in the last 10 years.
- National Sex Registry
- Previous/Current Employers - last 10 years
- Valid Driver License - if position requires a valid license
- Pre-employment drug screening - must pass
Please note that some positions may require a more extensive background process due to their sensitivity.
At the completion of the pre-employment background and drug screening, you are ready to start your first day with GTA! Congratulations! A Human Resources Representative will help you coordinate your first day with GTA.
