Family Violence

GTA Project Rise Initiative

GTA is committed to helping the fight to end sexual assault and family violence. According to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, "1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men have been victims of [some form of] physical violence by an intimate partner within their lifetime. Family Violence is a national problem that impacts our communities, neighbors, coworkers, friends and family members.

To help bring to light this issue in our community, GTA launched Project Rise, an initiative to empower, raise awareness, and show our commitment to end sexual assault and family violence on Guam. We believe our network and technology can be part of the solution by making it easier for victims and survivors to get help and support.

Who We Help

GTA is proud to support the Guam Coalition Against Sexual Assault and Family Violence. The Guam Coalition Against Sexual Assault & Family Violence (GCASAFV) is a non-profit organization whose members are other community-based providers, government allies, and individuals who address sexual assault and family violence issues on Guam.

How GTA Contributes:

Through our partnership with The Guam Coalition Against Sexual Assault and Family Violence, we provide safe lines of communication for victims to stay connected to vital resources in times of need. Together with the coalition, GTA also hosts phone drives where the community can donate wireless phones they no longer use. Phones collected are assessed, refurbished, and then donated to the Guam Coalition Against Sexual Assault and Family Violence to benefit victims. Wireless phones that cannot be salvaged will be then be recycled as part of our go-green initiative.
