TAMUNING, Guam (Friday, September 29, 2017) - GTA TeleGuam ("GTA") Thursday announced the appointment of Joseph Shinohara to the newly created position of Executive Vice President of Finance, assuming the senior leadership role at GTA for all finance, accounting and purchasing related functions.
Robert Haulbrook, GTA Chief Executive Officer, says, "Joe has a deep understanding of our Business and he has been a driving force in its continuous improvement over the years.
A native of Guam, Mr. Shinohara joined GTA in May 2007 and was most recently the Vice President of Finance as well as Controller. A Certified Public Accountant and Chartered Global Management Accountant, Shinohara graduated from Father Duenas Memorial School and has a Bachelor’s degree (double major) in Accounting & Management from the University of Guam. Additionally, he is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Guam Society of Certified Public Accountants. He and his wife, Angelica, have four children and reside in Mangilao.
Concurrent with the appointment of Mr. Shinohara to his new position, John Brady, GTA’s Chief Financial Officer has decided to return home to Williamsburg, VA and will be leaving the company at the end of October 2017.
"John has been instrumental in the development of the business over the last 10 years," said CEO Robert Haulbrook. "I’d like to thank him for his many contributions to the company and for agreeing to remain as an advisor through the end of 2018."
Brady has served as CFO since 2007 and has helped lead the company to record growth in revenue and earnings.
GTA provides a broad array of communications services in Guam. These include internet, wireless, advanced digital TV, local and long-distance telephone service and carrier-class data circuits. The company also operates a data center in Guam for business data storage and managed wide-area networking. Based in Tamuning, Guam, GTA is privately owned and locally managed.
