Tamuning, Guam (Monday, August 13, 2018) - GTA has launched a new advertising message, "Connect with Kindness" for back to school to inspire digital positivity. The campaign re-enforces the belief that one act, big or small and the willingness to make a connection can make all the difference in someone's life and create change for the greater good.
Kamia Dierking, GTA Director of Marketing and Communications, says "It's impossible to ignore the power that both social media and bullying have on today's youth. Between the perfect Instagram stories and snaps, it's easy to forget how powerful technology can be at our fingertips. We want to provide a platform for our youth to engage in being great by connecting with kindness and inspiring conversations around online safety while promoting a friendlier digital world. We believe that technology can be used for good and that if we share and reinforce kindness, it will spread and be passed on."
To inspire conversation, GTA is encouraging students, teachers, and parents to post their photos, memes, and inspirational quotes using the hashtag, #ConnectwithKindness. Dierking says, "Reinforcing kindness naturally becomes integral to everything that we do. It creates the foundation for positive communities. The idea that kindness is contagious works with our goal to make good happen everywhere we go."
#ConnectwithKindness is part of GTA's ongoing effort to inspire the island community in everything it does. In February, the company kicked-off a social responsibility program introducing core values that one act of good can inspire another. The company also partnered with Catholic Social Services for their annual back-pack drive where they handed out 350 backpacks filled with supplies.
