'Be the Gift' Giving Campaign benefits children In the CNMI
Tamuning (Guam) Tuesday, December 18, 2018 – In the spirit of giving, GTA employees donated hundreds of toys as they teamed up with the Ayuda Foundation to make it a merry Christmas for the children in the CNMI greatly impacted by Super Typhoon Yutu. Donations poured into the office, with an array of stuffed animals, sports equipment, games, and more.
GTA donated approximately 900 toys which will be distributed by the Ayuda Foundation. Back in November, the local telecom company pledged $25,000 to Ayuda Foundation to assist our neighboring islands with recovery efforts there. Today, GTA presented a toy donation to the Foundation with hopes to bring relief and smiles to children in Saipan and Tinian.
Roland Certeza, GTA President and Chief Executive Officer, said, "Our employees went above and beyond to ensure children in the CNMI had something this Christmas as many families are still trying to get their lives back together. This was even more evident this year as they donated over 450 toys. In return, GTA matched this number so more children can open a gift on Christmas Day."
The holiday toy drive is one of many charitable efforts that the employees of GTA support, in order to give back to community. GTA's annual 'Be the Gift' holiday campaign highlights GTA's charitable efforts to give back and reflect on what matters most.
