GTA MPULSE Wireless Now Brings You iPhone Tethering
What is Tethering?
Tethering is the process of using a mobile device or Smartphone as a modem for a personal computer of some sort-typically a laptop computer-to gain Internet access. The term gets its name from how a mobile phone is attached, or tethered, to the computer via a USB cable, but wireless technologies such as Bluetooth can also be used for tethering.
GTA MPULSE now offers the Tethering capability to active GTA iPhone subscribers on the MPULSE iPlan. This feature is a month to month feature which can be added or removed as needed.
Tethering Requirements:
- - $29.95 iPhone plan required. The Tethering feature cannot be added without the plan.
- - Up-to-date version of iTunes.
- - Standard Data Roaming Fees apply - if roaming.
- - No activation fee required.
- - The PC or Mac must be connected to the iPhone via USB cable or Bluetooth connection.
- - Speeds are optimal if connected via USB cable versus Bluetooth.
- - The customer will be able to access the internet on their PC or Mac through their
iPhone at 3G speeds if they are within the 3G network.
