- What is GUdTV Video On Demand?
- Guam Digital TV (GUdTV) Video On Demand allows you to browse full-motion movie trailers, order selections from a huge library of VOD titles and watch the selections you choose as many times as you like within a 24 to 72 hour period, depending on the movie or program. No more running to the video store and searching for a movie you haven't seen, only to find it already out. With GUdTV On Demand, you can watch a new release or an old favorite, without leaving the comfort of your home.
- What is the difference between Video On Demand and Pay Per View?
- Guam Digital TV (GUdTV) gives you a level of personalize viewing not possible with pay-per-view services. You can pause, play, fast forward, and rewind your entertainment selection. In other words, you have total control over what you watch and how you watch it. Most importantly, you also have complete control over when you watch. There is no need to wait for a set time to watch your selection.
- What GUdTV services do I need to have in order to use Video On Demand
- All GUdTV customers are automatically eligible to access to Video On Demand movies. If you do NOT want access to Video On Demand, please contact our office and ask that we cancel VOD access to your account.
- What is the rental period and how much do VOD Movies Cost?
- Most VOD movie rentals are available for 24 hours. You may watch a rented movie as often as you like in that 24 hour period. Library movies are $2.99 each and New Releases are $3.99 each. Disney studio content is available for a 72 hour viewing period. These movies are marked "72 Hour Rental" and cost $4.99 each.
Prices vary by selection, but in general prices are as follows:
New releases (1-3 Day Rental) - $3.99 - $4.99 Library titles: $2.99 Adult titles: $9.99 - How often do the available GUdTV Video On Demand selections change?
- New selections are added weekly as movie studios give permission to provide their shows. Also, some licensing agreements do expire, meaning certain selections are only available for a limited time. See the "Coming Soon" area of the GUdTV Video On Demand web site for future titles. Yes. GTA plans to offer Video on Demand service in the near future.
- I have 2 GUdTV Digital Set Top Boxes. Can I play two different movies at the same time?
- Yes.
- Can I play the same movie on two different GUdTV Set Top Boxes at the same time?
- Yes
- Can I view the movies on my computer?
- No, The only way to view movies is through a GUdTV Set Top Box connected to your TV.
- Can I control my movie with my GUdTV remote control?
- Yes, You can control movie playback using your remote's play, stop, pause, rewind, and fast-forward buttons. If you have any problems using your remote control, please contact GTA for assistance.
- If I get to the end of a video and want to watch it again, can I restart at the beginning?
- Yes, if your viewing period has not expired, you may watch the movie again. Access purchased VOD movies in the VAULT menu and select the Video tab.
- What if I watched only part of the movie I ordered and didn't get to watch the rest before it expired?
- You will have to order the movie again. Refer to the RENTAL INFO for remaining rentals and viewing times.
- How do I return to watching Video On Demand rental after I've turned to another channel?
- Purchased VOD movies that have not expired are located in the VAULT menu. In the VAULT Menu, select the tab, VIDEO. Choose the movie you wish to resume watching. You can either begin watching where you left off (PLAY FROM LAST), or start the movie over (PLAY FROM START).
- How can I check my order history?
- A list of Video On Demand rentals made during the current month is available in the BILLING TAB, which can be found under MENU and then SETTINGS.
- Can I record Video On Demand movies with my DVR (Digital Video Recorder)?
- At this time, you cannot record your VOD selections to your DVR. However, you can re-watch your selections as many times as you like within the ordering window (usually 24 hours), and can re-order your selection at a later time.
- Why can I not see Video On Demand selections in HD (High Definition)?
- The format of GUdTV Video On Demand titles is determined by the studios that send us the films, and at this time, very few studios provide VOD selections in HD format. As the demand increases and more people worldwide utilize the HD standard, more studios will begin supplying Video On Demand selections in HD, We will make them available to our customers as soon as they do.
- How do I pay for the movies I select?
- VOD charges are added to your bill each month. It will appear in a separate section of your bill with the movie title you ordered displayed. There are some free movies available on VOD and they will show a $0.00 cost.
- How many programs can I order at one time?
- There is no limit on purchases: you can order as many times as you like (account must be in good standing).
- Do my Parental Control settings stay the same for Video On Demand purchases as with other features of the GUdTV Interactive Program Guide?
- Yes, If you use the Parental Control feature to block content by rating, then all regular broadcast programs and Video On Demand programming that have been rated will be blocked according to your specifications.
- How can I prevent my children from ordering shows that I feel are inappropriate?
- GUdTV Video On Demand lets you prevent shows with certain content ratings from being ordered, and they will not be displayed when browsing the Video On Demand menus.
- Why can't I order a Video On Demand movie?
- There are two main reasons why you may have a problem ordering a VOD movie:
- Technical Issues
- Problems with your account
- Technical Issues:
- To ensure that the problem isn't a technical issue, please reset your equipment. That usually clears any technical problems that is preventing you from ordering or viewing Video On Demand content.
- Account Issues:
- If resetting your equipment did not resolve the problem, there could be an issue with your account. Typical account issues are:
- Your PIN needs to be reset.
- There is a billing issue with your account preventing you from accessing the Video On Demand menu.
- To get your PIN reset or to resolve billing issues related to your service, you'll need to contact us for further assistance.
