Senior IP Network Engineer

Position Overview
Candidate will need an in-depth knowledge of WAN, BGP, OSPF, ISIS, Security and MPLS based networks. Candidate will also need to be proficient and experienced in design, development, implementation, testing, and operation. This position performs technology review and selection, standards development, and implementation guidelines for the technical service delivery infrastructure, and wide area networking platforms. Responsible for building standard installation, configuration, and maintenance template for supported products and services. Assist business units or technical departments in requirement analysis, web application technology or wide area networking solutions design and technical recommendations. Assist with the budgetary planning and analysis for business unit and IP Network projects. Provide tier IV problem resolution.

Provide technical oversight and review of installation, operations, and maintenance changes to ensure that established standards and guidelines are adhered. Work with vendors, business units, and technical departments to develop new technical solutions and standards. Act as a mediator for technical issues between the business units, vendors and other internal technical departments.  

Requirements

• Hands-on Cisco and Linux/Unix experience
• Possess a CCIE certification application to Service Providers
• Possess working experience supporting server network configuration/provisioning in a multi-tier web environment as well as have an in-depth working knowledge in IP traffic engineering and network traffic analysis to include TCP packet analysis
  
• BS or equivalent work experience
• CCIE a must; CISS a plus; 10 plus years of experience in Network engineering and support mid-large multi-location network environment
