GTA TELEGUAM Announces Fiber Todu Guahan Plan
Tamuning, Guam –December 10, 2007
GTA TELEGUAM is pleased to announce its Fiber Todu Guahan plan to bring advanced fiber services to all locations on Guam over the next six years, serving both business and residential customers.
Carl Leon Guerrero, GTA Vice President of Engineering said,” GTA TELEGUAM is committed to continuing to provide the same advanced communications services available stateside to our customers here on Guam. We have added DWDM technology to increase our available bandwidth capacity and we continue to upgrade our existing buried fiber rings so that services will remain working during typhoons. We also have plans to bring fiber to all locations on Guam.”
“We have begun this process by bringing fiber to government and business locations and will begin installing fiber to residences by the end of this year. Customers will benefit and island residents will continue to receive the same advanced communications service that people stateside enjoy,” Leon Guerrero concluded.

GTA TELEGUAM Partners with VSNL to Deliver Worldwide Communications with Tier One Hosting and Backup Services in Guam
Tamuning, Guam- November 26, 2007
GTA TELEGUAM announced today that they are collaborating with VSNL, a leading communications solution provider, to offer increased service capabilities to their joint customers. GTA has provided redundant connectivity via its islandwide high capacity DWDM (Dense Wave Division Multiplexing) buried fiber rings, while VSNL offers worldwide connectivity via its submarine cable and landline offerings.
GTA TELEGUAM has also created a new Asia Pacific Data Center (ASIA PAC) located at the VSNL Piti facility. This world-class, secure facility has the redundant power and air conditioning to withstand major disasters. A GTA "Always There" Network Operations Center (NOC) will be established at the new Data Center located at VSNL. The GTA NOC will provide 24x7x365 onsite personnel. GTA will offer managed hosting and backup services to business and government customers located on Guam, stateside and in Asia.

GTA TELEGUAM Enhances Backbone Fiber Optic Network
Tamuning, Guam- November 19, 2007
GTA TELEGUAM is pleased to announce the enhancement of its islandwide redundant buried fiber optic rings. This technical enhancement is known as DWDM, or Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing. With DWDM, GTA greatly increases its islandwide fiber network capacity. GTA can now offer higher bandwidths throughout the island using the new fiber optic equipment to access speeds up to 80 times its previous capacity.
Carl Leon Guerrero, GTA TELEGUAM Vice President of Engineering said, “As part of our continuing investment in our island, we have upgraded our existing buried fiber ring infrastructure with the latest photonic technology. This will allow us to provide more bandwidth at higher speeds to accommodate customer demand anywhere, on or off island. We did this without any interruption to customers’ services. Business customers and Spyder Broadband customers will directly benefit from these improvements. GTA TELEGUAM remains committed to providing the latest communications technologies for Guam customers, being ‘Always There’ 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.”
Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing is a technology that puts data from different sources together on an optical fiber, with each signal carried simultaneously on its own separate light wavelength. With DWDM, up to 800 billion bits per second can be delivered through the optical fiber.

GTA TELEGUAM Announces New Look to Billing Statements
Tamuning, Guam –November 7, 2007
GTA TELEGUAM welcomes “Tulaika”, with a new look to your monthly billing statement. Recently, GTA TELEGUAM migrated from its 20 year old multiple billing systems to a new consolidated billing system, and this month customers will get their first look.
Millie Leon Guerrero, GTA TELEGUAM Managing Director of Marketing and Communications said, “In the Chamorro language, ‘Tulaika’ means ‘change’, and we know that this will be a great change for our customers. The new ‘Tulaika’ system will provide customers with faster service order processing and an opportunity to receive single, easy to read, consolidated billing statements for all GTA services. Existing customers who wish to have their accounts consolidated into one bill may visit our offices in Upper Tumon, or the MPULSE store in the Agana Shopping Center.”
“With the new billing platform, GTA TELEGUAM is able to be more flexible in pricing and offering bundling incentives or discounts to customers. Although we are still going through the conversion clean-up for the next 30 days, we will address GTA TELEGUAM customer issues immediately and apologize for any customer inconvenience,” Leon Guerrero further stated.
“This $4M investment in new systems is part of our continued commitment to better serve Guam. We want to be the #1 service provider on Guam. We call this GTA TELEGUAM, Always There,” Leon Guerrero concluded.
The new system will also allow GTA TELEGUAM to deliver products and services to the market faster and more efficiently. Over the past two years, GTA TELEGUAM has invested over $30 million in upgrading wireline, wireless and Internet services to bring the latest communications technologies to Guam.

GTA TELEGUAM Board of Directors Welcomes Peter Gill
Tamuning, Guam – October 29, 2007
GTA TELEGUAM is pleased to welcome Mr. Peter E. Gill as the newest member of its Board of Directors. Peter has joined the GTA TELEGUAM Board of Directors effective October 24, 2007.
Steve Royer, Shamrock Managing Director said, “ GTA TELEGUAM is very committed to Guam and its people. Peter has the local expertise to help us better understand how to serve customers here on Guam. We welcome Peter to the GTA TELEGUAM Board.”
Peter has been a resident of Guam for over 38 years and is a graduate of Marquette University. A local businessman who runs KwikSPACE Guam Inc., Peter continues to be very active in local business and charity circles. Peter is a member of the board of St. John’s School as well as other local boards and is married to Dr. Joan Gill. Peter and his wife have two sons who also live on Guam.

GTA TELEGUAM Announces Completion of Billing System Conversion
Tamuning, Guam –October 18, 2007
GTA TELEGUAM announced that it has successfully migrated from its pre-existing 20 year old multiple billing systems to a new consolidated billing system. The new “Tulaika” system will provide customers with faster service order processing and a single, easy to read, consolidated bill for all GTA services.
Tony Mosley, GTA Executive Vice President of Marketing and Service said, “This $4M investment in new systems is part of our continued commitment to better serve Guam. In April of this year, GTA announced its intentions to invest $4 million to purchase the new platform which would allow GTA to better serve customers through enhanced customer services such as converged billing statements. Over the past two years, GTA has invested over $30 million in upgrading wireline, wireless and Internet services to bring the latest communications technologies to Guam.

GTA TELEGUAM Supports the American Red Cross
Tamuning, Guam –Friday, September 28, 2007
GTA TELEGUAM presented a check donation of $5000 to the American Red Cross in support of the 7th Annual Red Ball. The annual fundraiser helps to raise and replenish funds used to provide basic necessities to victims of disaster on Guam. ”
It is a privilege to be able to assist the American Red Cross as we deal with disasters together. GTA is proud to support the American Red Cross and work together with them to help meet the needs of the community which is in line with our commitment to being ‘Always There’ 24x7x365 for the people of Guam,” commented Tony Mosley, Executive Vice President of Marketing and Service at GTA.
The American Red Cross is the oldest humanitarian organization on island, celebrating a 90 year history of service to Guam. Their service includes providing for victims of home fires and typhoons, conducting training in First Aid and CPR, providing disaster preparedness information to businesses, schools, and organizations, and assisting our Armed Forces.

GTA TELEGUAM announces GSM enhancements to its island wide/worldwide wireless coverage for the southernmost villages of Guam.

GTA TELEGUAM Sponsors GCC Training Conferences

GTA TELEGUAM presented an initial check donation of $5000 to President Mary Okada of the Guam Community College (GCC) on Wednesday, August 29 as the sole sponsor of the 2007-2008 GCC training conferences entitled “Community Partnerships: Building a Stronger Workforce.”
”It is a privilege to be able to assist the people of Guam as these students go through training and education which will benefit the island as a whole. GTA has a long history of community partnership and we are proud to support the Guam Community College and work together with them to help meet the needs of the community,” commented Tony Mosley, Executive Vice President of Marketing and Service at GTA.
This is a two year sponsorship, and as the sole sponsor of these training conferences, GTA has committed to contributing a total of $10,000 to Guam Community College over the next two academic years. GTA Announces New “Always There” Call Center Hours
Tamuning, Guam – June 29, 2007
GTA today announced new “Always There” Call Center hours, offering customer service 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Effective Sunday, July 1, GTA residential, business, and government customers will be able to call 644-4GTA to speak with a GTA representative for standard call center service, Mpulse wireless service, Spyder Internet support, 411 Operator service, 611 Repair, and 711 Phone Relay service any time of the day.
Tom Camacho, Vice President of Marketing and Product Management said, “GTA’s mission is to provide quality communications services that serve the best interests of our customers. By extending our Call Center hours, customers will be able to speak to a GTA representative at their convenience.” Camacho further added, “This is in line with our commitment to improving service delivery to the people of Guam.”
