SMS Instruction Guide
To send an SMS, just follow these easy step-by-step instructions:
1. Select Menu on your handset and choose the Message feature.
2. Select Write or Create message from your Message menu. (The text editor may vary per handset.)
3. Then, using the letters on your dial keys, type your message, e.g. "Let's go see a movie at 7"
4. Now select Options and select Send. (These instructions may vary per handset)
5. Finally, type in the 10 digit MPULSE™ number (e.g. 671482XXXX) into the space provided and select: OK.
If you wish to send an email instead, input the email address and press OK. Some handsets have an editor specifically designed for emails and text messages. Your email address is simply your 10 digit number at gtacell.net (e.g. 671XXXXXXX@sms.gta.net). Various wireless carriers around the world have email addresses for their customer's wireless devices.
As a MPULSE subscriber, you can send or receive a short email to or from any device that has an email attached to it anywhere in the world. Here are a few carriers that you can send an email to straight from your MPULSE handset:
- Guamcell 671XXXXXXX@mobile.guamcell.net
- IT&E 671XXXXXXX@itepcs.net
- T-Mobile XXXXXXXXXX@tmomail.net
- ATT XXXXXXXXXX@medianet.com
- Cingular XXXXXXXXXX@mmode.com
- Nextel XXXXXXXXXX@messaging.nextel.com
6. The message sent notification or confirmation will come up on your screen if the delivery was successful.
